When I was brainstorming for this project I was watching It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia and saw the episode where they all go skiing. There was a line in the episode that said "everybody knows the coolest thing about skiing is that you could bash your head in at any point" and I thought it was very funny and related to my life. I decided that I wanted to make the video about hitting my head when I was skiing/skating and then being transported into an animation from there. I wanted to make it about skating because I wanted to be able to do something that I enjoyed doing to make the project overall more fun and interesting for me to film. I wanted to make the video a bit of a parody and incorporate some point of humor which ii think came across in the video. As far as the actual animation went, I ended up making the animation before I did the voiceovers which kind of came back to bite me. I had a longer voice over than the animation so I had to slow down the animation to make them sync which made the animation little bit dry in the long run. If I were to redo this or something like it in the future, I would record the voice over first so I could make the animation sync to it better and have it be more active. When I was recording the voice over, it was very challenging for me to change my voice and commit to the pure ridiculousness of what I was saying. As far as filming went, it was hard to coordinate everything with my roommates/friends to find a time where they would help me film but I really appreciate that they did it for me eventually. Overall Im happy with the final project even though it was so grungy to present to the class.
